We represent a proposed class of current and former medical students against the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine (AUC) and its recently rebranded corporate parent, Covista, Inc. (formerly Adtalem Global Education and also previously known as DeVry Education Group). The lawsuit, filed in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida, alleges that the defendants artificially inflated and deceptively advertised the USMLE Step 1 passage rates of its first time test takers.
